We are delighted to join Fig & Dove in their Holiday Tastemaker Series this season! Fig & Dove has long been a favorite for unique gifts and elegant home accessories, and we are over-the-moon to include their iconic acrylic doves into our home this Christmas.
Endless Possibilities
Sprinkled throughout all of Tallwood’s nooks and crannies this season, Fig & Dove’s acrylic doves have added a bit of whimsy to our vintage-inspired decorations, a detail especially appreciated by our children. We’ve incorporated them absolutely everywhere, using them as the primary decorations on our dining room’s tabletop tree and within our Christmas tablescapes; we’ve hung them from the vintage chandeliers, and even fastened them to our staircase garland with bits of floral wire!

"Peace on Earth..."
If we wish for anything this Christmas season, the age-old refrain of, “Peace on earth, good will towards men,” springs to mind. In a time in history when the meaning of these words has largely been forgotten, the doves sprinkled throughout our home this season remember these sentiments, sung out by the angels on that first Christmas Day as they announced the birth of Christ Jesus, the Lord, and the good news that, through him, those who believe can be at peace with God and their fellow man; for those who are not at peace with God can never be at peace with their fellow man.
Later penned by poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow into his poem Christmas Bells during the Civil War, and then famously set to music by Bing Crosby in the Christmas carol, I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, these words continue to ring with truth today, calling us to Him who brings us peace.
