The Little Boys Room here at Tallwood was inspired by a famous image of Lee Radziwill and her daughter in the Turquerie room of their London home.

The pattern on pattern (on pattern) had my grandmillennial heart from the moment I first laid eyes on the image above and served well as a guide when we first walked into Tallwood and saw the vintage wallpaper hanging in what would eventually become our Little Boys Room.
Shop the Room

That vintage wallpaper was brought back to life by new bed linens via Annie Selke, two antique twin beds via One Kings Lane that once resided in the guest house of famed decorator Tony Duquette, and the portraits of a few of history’s greatest adventurers, which I came across via our local Craigslist many years ago.
When More is More

Our hope is that this room would continue to instill a sense of wonder and adventure in our little boys as they grow into young men, and that they would be inspired to live their best little boy lives; for childhood is too short a season.
